Currently, Ashawnty Davis is the leading trending Twitter topic. A lot of people are saying Black Twitter came through, in raising awareness on this situation. But, as previously stated, all of this only proves symptoms for the problem.
Ashawnty Davis was a ten-year-old Aurora, Colorado kid, who had her whole life ahead of her. Bullies tormented her, forcing her to fight every day, and she finally had enough, ending her own life. Davis isn’t the only “bullycide” victim, however.
There is also thirteen year old, Rosalie Avila, who had braces, and was being bullied about her teeth. Taking to cutting her wrists to find relief, finally she had enough, and killed herself. People have taken to Twitter to discuss these young ladies, who have taken their lives, due to the cruelty of others.
