Last week Ari Fletcher was trending on Twitter heavily, due to he gifting her boyfriend, Moneybagg Yo, 28 acres of land, for his birthday. Garcelle Beauvais and “The Real” hosts, criticized this move, due to this move being viewed as something that only married couples should give as gifts.
During that time, Fletcher seemed nonchalant about what the hosts had to say. Moneybagg was also surprised that Beauvais condemned the gift, as he used the name of her “The Jamie Foxx Show” character, Fancy.
Fletcher also recently addressed The Real hosts’ take, while on the red carpet, of the 2021 BET Hip-Hop Awards. There, she was interviewed by The Morning Hustle. Fletcher explained how she loves Moneybagg, and how The Real needs to mind their business.
“I’m in love. I love my man,” said Fletcher. “I feel like everybody just need to focus on what they doin’ and who they doin’ it with and what makes them happy. I feel like we in a different time zone right now, like the world is completely different, so it’s not like it was when they was growing up. It’s different now. We got different dreams and we dream way bigger ’cause we can do it now.”
Fletcher and Moneybagg have been together for over a year now, and aren’t shy to show public affection for each other at all. This is definitely evident in the gifts they show each other online, and defending their names, in the midst of criticism.
