“Empire” was playing no games tonight! Easily, this was one of the best episodes in the history of the show. While “Empire” may have come down from those historic ratings, from the first two seasons, the quality is on par with the early episodes.
People are caught up with the Lyon family history and are now concerned with their future. Tonight, Andre (Trai Byers) opened things up with a concert. Longtime viewers remember Andre often being upset, because he had no musical talent.
In the rare times Andre was allowed to sing, some fans said he was actually a better singer than Jamal (Jussie Smollett). No offense to the character of Jamal, or Jussie Smollett, but Andre is a better singer. It all ended up being for nothing, because it was a dream sequence.
