This summer has seen some of the most-horrific racial hate crimes since the 1960s. Since the Trayvon Martin murder in 2012, rappers have been vocal in this movement. Over the years, it has come to be known as #BlackLivesMatter.
Many rappers, including Jay Z, Rick Ross, Ace Hood, J. Cole, Kanye West, alongside many more, have addressed matters. Still, it seems like change is far from coming. Instead, the people who take a stand get harassed by the mainstream media.
This morning, another sad story surfaced when an American Airlines flight attendant was photoed wearing a Black Lives Matter pin. The pin caused a lot of backlash and American Airlines was forced to address the matter. American Airlines said they are launching an investigation to make sure every one of their employees adheres to their dress code, causing them much backlash.
