Prema Donna and Amara La Negra’s budding friendship is no longer.
While the two seemed to start out on the right path, everything just went left.
After Amara confided in Prema about her now-ex, Emjay, Prema decided to “save her from a smothering relationship.”
And by “saving,” she meant stirring up some drama. A couple of episodes ago, Prema brought Emjay’s ex, Annie, to lunch with Amara, and Annie had a mouthful to give Amara. She claimed that Emjay is basically an opportunist. Due to Amara’s own speculations, after the conversation, she broke it off with Emjay.
The departure wasn’t smooth between the once lovebirds, though. Amara was yelling at Emjay, and Emjay, well, he was crying. Somehow, his sister, Shay, was brought into the mix, which didn’t go well.
But who was to blame? In Amara’s eyes, Prema Donna.
On tonight’s episode, Sukihana’s “brunch for black girls” turned into Amara vs. Prema. The ladies were discussing their struggles being of darker skin tone (even Tip, being a woman of lighter tone), and Prema Donna posed the golden question.
“What do you identify as?” she sarcastically asked Amara, following her speech on growing up Afro-Latina.
Everything blew up from there, Prema followed Amara outside, and eventually, they both went their separate ways.
However, social media’s opinions didn’t cease.
