21 Savage was brought into custody by ICE officials yesterday after they found that he didn’t have a visa and is actually a resident of the U.K. He was riding around Atlanta with fellow East Atlanta rapper Young Nudy at the time. It was rumored that 21 was from the U.K national country of Dominica. Now, a birth certificate has leaked saying that he was born in London in 1992.
The Daily Mail revealed the certificate as it states that 21 was born in the Newham area of London at Newham Hospital on October 22, 1992. 21 would go on to live in London for 12 years before coming to Atlanta.
21 is still in ICE custody in Georgia and removal proceedings for him to be deported have already started. Artists have shown support for 21 since then such as Migos and Cardi B. He’s done a lot to help the Atlanta community so hopefully things work out in his favor. Check out the alleged birth certificate below.
