Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez Call Off Two-Year Engagement; Originally Postponed Wedding Twice Because of COVID-19

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have been one of the biggest couples in the world over the last two years. They’ve been engaged for this span as well and recently attempted to be part of the New York Mets’ new ownership. Now, JLo and ARod are finished as an engaged couple.

According to Page Six, JLo ad ARod have officially split and any chance of a wedding is off. They were just seen in the Dominican Republic last week as JLo was filming the movie, “Shotgun Wedding.” The two had previously canceled their last two weddings over COVID-19 concerns. This was kept low key for a while until JLo revealed these difficult decisions.

Sources close to the couple in Miami also added that ARod is “now in Miami getting ready for baseball season, and she’s filming her movie in the Dominican Republic.” It’s also unknown what officially ended the engagement but it was rumored that ARod had been FaceTiming “Southern Charm” star, Madison LeCroy.

JLo also revealed that she and ARod had been in therapy together during COVID-19 lockdowns last year. She believed that it was beneficial to their relationship. In the end, it simply wasn’t enough to save the engagement. JLo also added how she wasn’t in a rush to make a big wedding happen.

“I think we just feel like, ‘Let’s just wait it out.’ There’s no rush, we’re good, everything’s cool and it’ll happen when the time is right. I feel like it’s not a huge priority to go and have a big wedding right now, that’s not what life is about.”
