On Monday night, Coachella was officially postponed to the weekends of October 9 and 16 due to the worldwide coronavirus outbreak. The original dates were set to take place on the weekends of April 10 and 17. Some of the biggest headliners in hip-hop and R&B who were set to perform were DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, Summer Walker, Travis Scott, Ari Lennox, and more.

Fans have since been trying to get refunds for their traveling accommodations such as Airbnb. The good news is that Airbnb is fully cooperating and are starting to issue these refunds, according to TMZ. The list started off very small though as the exemptions were for people who were traveling to countries who have been affected by the virus such as China, Italy, and South Korea.

As of now, Airbnb is issuing full refunds to  customers who booked around Coachella area. Part of the company’s cancellation policy states “Epidemic disease or illness that suddenly affects a region or an entire group of people” qualifies as a special review circumstance, and policy decisions will be “based on announcements by the World Health Organization and local authorities.”

Coachella takes place in Indigo, CA and in this area, there is currently a public health emergency so expect refunds to continue to be filed and returned. As of now, the lineups that were set for April are still on for October. Check them out below.
