Airbnb has now responded to viral videos of one of their hosts calling a group of black men “monkeys.”
A group of black men booked an Airbnb with a women named Kate, to get together have some fun in NYC. One of the men said Kate was very disrespectful to them for no reason and began using racial slurs to them before kicking them out at 2 am. In one of the viral videos, you can hear Kate ask “which monkey is going to stay on the couch?”
Airbnb got flooded with tweets about the incident. They tweeted “The language is unacceptable and has no place in the Airbnb community. We’ve removed the host from our platform and are supporting the guests with a new place to stay. We’re thankful to them for bringing this to our attention so we could take action.”
These people are going to learn that their racist antics will get you nowhere. People are now pushing for Kate to lose her job and be evicted from her home.
