A lot of attention goes to Birdman, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Diddy, but A$AP Yams is another rising record executive to look out for. Ahead of the curve, A$AP Yams was on the internet finding talented artists who had no outlet. With the A$AP Mob already in existence, A$AP Yams expanded the crew well out of Harlem and chose to build around A$AP Rocky.

Since 2011, A$AP Rocky has been one of the most-discussed names in the game. Everyone has jumped behind A$AP Rocky for various reasons. Being from Harlem, some have touted Rocky as the next artist from New York City to blow up. Meanwhile, others look to A$AP Rocky for different music.

Fresh off the release of Long.Live.A$AP, everyone is simply playing “Fuckin’ Problem” in their respective cars and stereos. The New York Times sat A$AP Yams down to talk about how they crew got to where they were. A$AP Yams explained that he is the boss of the A$AP Mob and he found a lot of talent on the internet that needed an outlet and he provided that.
