Earlier this week, A$AP Rocky surprised fans when he teamed up with Rihanna, being featured on the remix of her song, “Cockiness.” Alongside French Montana and many others, A$AP Rocky is one of the leaders in New York’s return to the forefront of hip hop. His collaboration with Rihanna has caught many by surprise.
More surprising, however, was A$AP Rocky performing “Cockiness” with Rihanna last night at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles. During their performance, A$AP Rocky grabbed Rihanna on her bottom and also kissed her on the neck. In addition to making big news, A$AP Rocky also did what most guys his age dream of doing.
Before he took the stage, VIBE.com caught up with A$AP Rocky on the red carpet. During his interview, the Harlem rapper explained how the “Cockiness (remix)” came together. A$AP Rocky also spoke on their then-upcoming performance. The young rapper went on to say the performance would be fun and to expect “cockiness,” Rocky went on to explain how she contacted him for the collaboration.
