Early this year, De La Soul revealed they were looking for funding to record their next album. This album, And The Anonymous Nobody, is their ninth release. They last released an album in 2012, when they released First Serve.
De La Soul has generated over $500,000 in donations for their next album. Now, A3C has decided to get into the mix, urging more fans to donate to help out. For each donation, A3C will match it up to $10,000 to help De La Soul get where they need to be.
In addition to this, when the 2015 A3C Hip Hop Festival begins, they will honor De La Soul. They are twenty-six years deep in the game and they have an event planned to honor them and the album. De La Soul Day is the day they have planned to celebrate what the group has given to the world.
