Andrea Kelly is doing some damage control after a video surfaced of her happily singing her ex husband’s hit song, ‘Happy People.’ In the video, she addresses R. Kelly’s haters and mentions the singer as her “baby daddy” multiple times.
Fans were confused as to why she would even listen to his music after she detailed the abuse that she went through with R. Kelly on the Lifetime show, ‘Surviving R. Kelly.’
A rep for Andrea tells TMZ:
“This (video) in no way should be perceived as an extension of support for R. Kelly, but should be viewed as a statement of her strength and not having been defeated.”
The rep also added that the video was “several years old.”
Many fans are starting to believe that Andrea knew what R. Kelly was doing the entire time. They are also accusing her of using this situation for a check.
