50 Cent to release “Street King Immortal” on February 26

Months after 50 Cent released Before I Self Destruct, he began making preparations for his fifth studio album. Typically releasing an album every other year, 50 Cent made plans of releasing back-to-back albums. During this time, 50 Cent revealed he was no longer on Interscope Records and was negotiating.

50 Cent was still active in his feud against Rick Ross and he hinted at moving over to his Def Jam and taking over as CEO to block his album release. Instead, 50 Cent reached an agreement with EMI Records. Initially believed as a new deal, it was instead a deal for Lloyd Banks to release HFM 2 (The Hunger For More).

Several changes occurred over the past few years, mainly 50 Cent’s album title and label situation. Last year, 50 Cent revealed he was still on Interscope Records and he unleashed fury on the entire label, including Dr. Dre. Through it all, 50 Cent made peace and now his Street King Immortal album is due on February 26.
