While the recent years have not been kind to 50 Cent, he used to be the top rapper in the game. During this time, 50 Cent was Interscope’s biggest artist and they rewarded his efforts. Due to his high sales, they granted him G-Unit Records.
After signing his own crew, 50 Cent began adding legends from his hometown to the label. Among the prized additions was Mobb Deep, the legendary duo. Even after Mobb Deep didn’t work out on G-Unit, 50 remained on good terms with Havoc and Prodigy.
Last week, it was revealed that Prodigy died from complications of his Sickle Cell disorder. With Prodigy gone, the hip hop world flooded social media with their warm messages. The day of his funeral, today, 50 Cent went on social media, where he revealed he spoke at Prodigy’s funeral.
