In thirteen days, ScHoolboy Q hopes to release the most-successful album in the history of Top Dawg Entertainment. Oxymoron is ScHoolboy Q’s third studio album, but his major label debut. Interscope Records signed a label deal with TDE in 2012, following Kendrick Lamar’s Aftermath deal with Dr. Dre.
Being under the Interscope Records umbrella, ScHoolboy Q had the chance to be label-mates with his idol. Upon discovering how much ScHoolboy Q idolized him, 50 Cent reached out and built a personal relationship with him. Earlier this week, he even preordered a copy of Oxymoron.
50 Cent shared his purchase on Instagram and the fans loved seeing the unity within the hip hop community. Of course, ScHoolboy Q was pleased to see the person he idolized in the rap game purchasing a copy of his album. But, what people overlooked was how much 50 Cent idolizes ScHoolboy Q and the comment he made on Instagram about being on the album.
