21 Savage is Planning To Release New Album This Year, After Latest Release of “Spiral” EP [VIDEO]

Last week, 21 Savage released a new EP in “Spiral: From the Book of Saw.” This project contained four tracks in total with additional appearances from Gunna, Young Nudy, Young Thug, and more. This comes after a huge fall 2020 where he and Metro Boomin finally released their “Savage Mode II” album, which became the number one album in the US.

Now, the Atlanta rapper plans to release a new solo album sometime this year as well. This was discussed in a new interview with Ebro Darden of Apple Music, along with Chris Rock. 21 is open to taking as long as he needs though to make sure he has great quality on this project.

“That’s what I’m planning on. That’s what I’m planning on. But I like quality work. So however long that takes, it’ll take but I’m dropping something, for sure.”

The last time that 21 released an album, it was his “I Am > I Was” album in December 2018. That project was led by the hit single, “A Lot” featuring J. Cole. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and is currently platinum in the US. A Lot also did huge numbers as it peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and is 5x platinum in the US. It also won a Grammy in 2020 for Best Rap Song.
