2021 BET Awards Nominees Revealed; DaBaby and Megan Thee Stallion Lead With Most Nominations

The 2021 BET Awards are back on June 27 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Last year sadly had a virtual show due to the COVID-19 pandemic but now, a live audience is back as this audience will only have vaccinated people in attendance. Now, the full list of nominations are here.

Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby are tied for the most BET Awards nominations here with seven each. They are also both in many of the same categories such as Album of the Year and Best Collaboration. Each of them also had a number one song in 2020 such as DaBaby’s “Rockstar” feat. Roddy Ricch and Megan’s “Savage” remix feat. Beyoncé.

Additional Album of the Year nominees are Nas’ “King’s Disease,” Chole x Halle’s “Ungodly Hour,” The Weeknd’s “After Hours,” and “Heux Tales” by Jazmine Sullivan. The hottest breakout stars are nominated as well in the Best New Artist category with Jack Harlow, Pooh Shiesty, Coi Leray, Flo Milli, Giveon, and Latto.

The film and sports categories are back at the BET Awards as well. Best Movie nominees include Coming 2 America, Judas And The Black Messiah, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, One Night In Miami, Soul, andThe United States Vs. Billie Holiday. Best actress nominees are Andra Day, Angela Bassett, Issa Rae, Jurnee Smollett, Viola Davis, and Zendaya. Best Actor category includes Aldis Hodge, Chadwick Boseman, Damson Idris, Daniel Kaluuya, Eddie Murphy, and Lakeith Stanfield.

In the sports nominees, we see A’ja Wilson, Candace Parker, Claressa Shields, Naomi Osaka, Serena Williams, and Skylar Diggins-Smith in the Sprtswoman of the Year category. For the Sportsman of the Year candidates, they include Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Patrick Mahomes, Russell Westbrook, Russell Wilson, and Stephen Curry.
