The coronavirus pandemic continues to ruin concerts as many have been postponed or cancelled. This happened to the Dreamville Festival in Raleigh, NC. It was initially supposed to go down on April 9 but then, it got pushed back to August due to coronavirus concerns.

Now, Dreamville Festival will not be taking place after even worries about the virus despite it taking place three months away. The festival released a statement on social media an hour ago to make the disappointing announcement. They explained that they’ve been monitoring the coronavirus situation and that the best decision was to cancel. They explained how the uncertainty of the virus makes their timeline not possible. Refunds will be sent out before May 22 and should take 7-10 days for the funds to appear again.

2019 featured a very solid lineup as we saw Dreamville artists such as J. Cole, Cozz, J.I.D., Saba, Ari Lennox, and EarthGang perform along with other stars such as 6lack, Big Sean Teyana Taylor, 21 Savage, and SZA perform. Hopefully, 2021 is epic and makes up for the unfortunate circumstances of 2020. Lineups for this year had not been announced prior to the cancellation.
