2 Chainz talks going mainstream and already working on his third album with Hot 93.7 [VIDEO]

2 Chainz 4Most people are now just realizing 2 Chainz is Tity Boi from Playaz Circle, “Duffle Bag Boy” fame. Then, even few of those people realize Tity Boi kept himself going after the brief 2007-2009 run. Tity Boi became a mixtape fixture and his momentum built and brought him mainstream in 2011.

Before the release of 2011’s Codeine Cowboy, 2 Chainz was born and he soon found himself in the spotlight. Soon, a bidding war began and 2 Chainz entered a joint venture deal with Def Jam. Based on a T.R.U. Story came in 2012 and this year brought B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time.

When 2 Chainz paid his visit to Hot 93.7, he announced a third album would be coming next year. For this album, 2 Chainz wants to feature Eminem, Jay-Z, and 50 Cent. This led to him discussing how he has gone from being one of the biggest mixtape rappers to being a mainstream star.
