Back in 2016, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne had a huge collab album in “ColleGrove.” This project contained 13 tracks in total and did very well on the charts. It went on to debut at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. 2 Chainz and Wayne have been planning to put out the sequel for a while now, with initial plans for it to be out last year.
Now, 2 Chainz has provided an update for fans as he posted a photo of himself with Wayne at a club. The caption read “Goin over tracklist in the club.” This appears to hint that ColleGrove 2 is finalized and could be on its way to finally being available by sometime in the summer.
Both 2 Chainz and Wayne each released their own albums in 2020, though. Wayne returned with his 13th studio album, “Funeral,” last January which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. 2 Chainz’s sixth studio album, “So Help Me God!,” was released in November and debuted at No. 15.
