In June, Pusha T, Tony Draper and former NBA player Ricky Davis partnered up to start the “Feed Your City Challenge,” as a result of the Ricky Davis Legacy Foundation. The first event started in Norfolk, VA as PPE and groceries were handed out to help people struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, 2 Chainz was the latest celebrity to participate in this challenge in his hometown of Atlanta this past weekend. Davis thanked the Atlanta legend for his efforts as they did feed the city for sure. 4,500 people were able to receive these groceries and PPE.

“There’s a lot of stuff going on in the world, but it’s important for people like myself who have a platform to be on ground zero giving back,” 2 Chainz said to WSB-TV. “It’s a hard time for the whole world, not just the city of Atlanta. But I’m just using my platform to lead by example.”

Along with PPE, people were also given the opportunity to register to vote. This all took place at the Metro Mart parking lot in the Sylvan Hills neighborhood of the city. 6lack, Quality Control Music Group and Jhene Aiko’s Social Justice Collective were also all able to donate resources at thus event. 2 Chainz has been giving back to the Atlanta community lately as he also helped feed the homeless in late April with his business partner, Snoop Dillard.
