Back in 2012, 2 Chainz took his mixtape popularity and banked it on real success as a mainstream artist. Early on, 2 Chainz landed an exclusive joint venture with Def Jam for TRU. Following this, 2 Chainz took the game over.
2 Chainz already had songs performing moderately well, but when he and Drake joined forces, it was a wrap. However, 2 Chainz has taken a step back since 2013. But, in 2017, 2 Chainz is back and he is stronger than ever.
Not only is 2 Chainz intending to return with solo music, he is also getting back up with Dolla Boy. The two are uniting as Playaz Circle, where they hope to recapture their magic. As Playaz Circle, the two last had a hit with “Duffle Bag Boy,” which dropped in 2007, taking over late that summer.
