The award was “Best Female Video of the Year†and Beyonce was a nominee. Most people had expected Beyonce to win an award for her acclaimed video for “Single Ladies.†Instead Taylor Swift won the award and Kanye West jumped on the stage to let everyone know that Beyonce deserved it instead.br /br /Immediately after Kanye West pulled this move, the media jumped on him. At the time, West was right in the middle of working on his new album. But, with all of the bad press surrounding him, Kanye could not focus on the album. Initially, the album was due for release in December, but he could not concentrate. Even if he could, the negativity surrounding him would have jinxed album sales from the start.br /br /Yes, what Kanye West did was wrong. It was not about if Taylor Swift deserved the award or not, she was the declared winner. Compared to Kanye West, Swift is nothing more than a little girl. Having won her first major award, he had no right to jump onto the stage before she could even thank the fans. Even if the award was fixed, it is unlikely that she had a part in it. But, the right thing was done when Kanye West apologized.br /br /Following the apology from Kanye West, Taylor Swift accepted. However, the media did not and the only reason that Kanye West was let off of the hook was because of Tiger Woods. He had hoped that most of the people had forgotten about what he had said. But, now that he has new music on the way, the people have jumped right back on the bandwagon of dissing Kanye West.
