A few years ago, Steve Stoute revealed he was producing a documentary called “The Tanning of America.” This documentary recounts how the hip hop culture has impacted the American culture. Stoute, himself, has been one of the most influential people in hip hop. Also, he has done business with Jay-Z. Now, “The Tanning of America” documentary is finally ready to see the light of day.

The first episode of “The Tanning of America” premiered on VH1 last night. In the episode, it shows hip hop’s mainstream impact on the world. Perhaps more than any genre in music, hip hop has had a major impact on the entire culture of not just the US, but the whole world.

Steve Stoute is making his media rounds in promotion of “The Tanning of America,” which has sparked interesting conversations. When he arrived at Power 105.1, Steve Stoute talked to “The Breakfast Club” trio of Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy. He spoke on the documentary, which was created in 2011.
