Two and a half years ago, Remy Ma went on “The Breakfast Club,” where she was asked (again) about Nicki Minaj. At the time, Nicki was on her hiatus, which began after The Pink Print. But, she did two verses, “Swalla,” with Jason Derulo, and Gucci Mane’s “Make Love.”
Both songs included tough talking by Nicki Minaj, who found herself facing an onslaught from Azealia Banks. But, there were also the rumors about Remy Ma. With no warning, “SHEther” dropped, and the beef was on.
However, since then, Remy Ma has focused back in on her own career, which now includes TV. After Joe Budden secured a new hosting gig, Remy Ma was tapped as his co-host, where they discuss hip hop topics. Despite the beef, Remy Ma has spoke in favor of Nicki before, and did so last night.
Remy Ma said she was a fan of how Nicki Minaj handled Joe Budden, saying she liked how she got him there after all the trash he talked, with her man there. She said that she would have done the same thing, if she were given the opportunity to confront someone who she thought was a friend, but kept going at her.
