Jason Kidd gets ejected on his own Hall of Fame night

When Jason Kidd was a player, he was a bit of a journeyman. Kidd’s career began with the Dallas Mavericks, but Jason Kidd also played with the Phoenix Suns. Jason Kidd had the best years of his career with the New Jersey Nets. During Kidd’s first two seasons with the Nets, he led them to the NBA Finals. In 2003, Jason Kidd had the Nets within two wins of the NBA championship. Kidd remained with the Nets for the following four and a half seasons, before returning to the Mavericks.

Eventually, Jason Kidd retired from the NBA, in 2013. Later that same year, the Brooklyn Nets hired Kidd to be their head coach. As the Nets relocated to Brooklyn, the team relied heavily upon nostalgia. Nearly fifty years passed since Brooklyn had a professional sports team. Meanwhile, the Nets had their only successes when Jason Kidd played for the team. Despite this, Jason Kidd didn’t last long as the Nets’ head coach, being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. After four years, Kidd was let go by the Bucks.

In 2020, Jason Kidd won his first title as a coach. Kidd was an assistant with the Lakers for two years and then the Mavericks hired him as head coach. So far, Jason Kidd has bonded well with the Mavericks’ superstar, Luka Doncic. The Mavericks have their highest win total since Luka joined the team, this season, and have the third seed in the West. Last night, the Washington Wizards blew the Mavericks out, and Jason Kidd got ejected, leaving Luka Doncic shocked.
