Dame Dash admits that he didn’t expect Kanye West to blow up the way he did, “in a billion years” [VIDEO]

Dame Dash admits he was surprised at Kanye West’s stardom

Kanye West is still recognized as one of the most iconic rappers and producers, of all-time. Currently, Ye’s “Jeen-Yuhs” docuseries has been airing on Netflix, which documents his rise to the success that he’s had, to this day.

In Jeen-Yuhs, many remember when Kanye visited the Roc-A-Fella Records office, and when he played “All Falls Down.” It took a bit for Ye to get signed to the legendary record label, buy Jay Z and Dame Dash soon saw the potential that Kanye could bring, to the team.

Dash recently appeared on former NFL star Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast, as Kanye became one of the topics. Dash revealed that at the time, he didn’t see Ye’s career becoming what it is now. In fact, Dash believed that someone else on Roc-A-Fella would reach Kanye’s superstardom.

“No, I never expected that in a billion years … I didn’t expect it,” Dash said. “I expected other people that were in my crew to be Kanye. I expected someone to do those things, but I didn’t know it would be him. But the reason why it was him is because he had the most respect for me. He’s the only one that listened completely. And still does – on certain levels.”

Kanye is also fresh off of releasing his new “Donda 2” album. This project was released exclusively on his Stem Player platform. Donda 2 was led by singles such as “Eazy,” ft. The Game and “City Of Gods,” ft. Alicia Keys and Fivio Foreign.
