Last week, California Congresswoman Karen Bass said she would place Nipsey Hussle’s contributions to the South Los Angeles area into the Congressional Record on the House floor today. Bass officially completed that today at 11:30AM ET. Bass serves in the same district of Los Angeles where Nipsey is from.
Bass took to Twitter this afternoon to honor Nipsey and say that his contributions to Los Angeles are officially solidified in United States history. She said this happened shortly after the House of Representatives was done voting for the day.
Among Nipsey’s accomplishments listed are his work in the LA community such as owning multiple businesses, addressing social injustices, and helping others find employment. Nipsey was definitely a legend on the west coast as an artist and in his city. Salute to Congresswoman Bass for honoring his legacy in Washington, D.C today.
