Given all he has contributed to hip hop, Wyclef Jean is considered to be a legend in all regards. More than a rapper, Wyclef Jean also produces and sings, doing fantastically at both. However, as time has gone on, Wyclef Jean has faded from mainstream attention like many of the other major artists from the 1990s.
Wyclef Jean is back on his grind, currently working on his April Showers mixtape. In addition to the mixtape, which has Wyclef working with Waka Flocka Flame, 2 Chainz, T.I., and others, he is working with a new artist, Choppa Zoe. Following the new mixtape, there will be another Wyclef album.
DJ Whoo Kid recently spoke to Wyclef Jean for Shade 45. Wyclef Jean spoke on his upcoming April Showers mixtape during the interview. In addition to talking about his mixtapes and his collaborations, Wyclef Jean talked about his upcoming album, Refugee Republic. The actions of Lil Wayne, including his Tupac Shakur rant, and Wyclef’s speedo pic were also mentioned.
