ScHoolboy Q returns with new single Soccer Dad
ScHoolboy Q first rose to prominence as one of the most promising rappers in the game. What a difference a decade makes. TDE was expected to take over the game, as Kendrick Lamar had the most inspiring debut in almost ten years. However, as soon as Kendrick Lamar became a household name, he went on an indefinite hiatus. The plan was for ScHoolboy Q to debut behind him, but his project was held up for two years.
In 2014, ScHoolboy Q did release his debut album, Oxymoron. The album was a success, as ScHoolboy Q earned one hit single in “Studio.” While ScHoolboy Q has a cult following, so his music always does well, but “Studio” was his commercial peak. ScHoolboy Q kept releasing projects, but has been out of the spotlight over the past three years. Quite a bit has changed, as Kendrick Lamar is preparing to leave TDE, and has a star on his own imprint label.
ScHoolboy Q last released an album in 2019, with CrasH Talk. Obviously, ScHoolboy Q also had to deal with the elements, as the lockdown ended 2020 for most people. Also, 2021 ended up being a recovery period for most. Now, ScHoolboy Q has 2022, when he is returning with new work. While ScHoolboy Q hasn’t announced a new album, he has returned with a new single. ScHoolboy Q has delivered his new record, “Soccer Dad,” to the masses.
