#Rihanna30: Fans have made February 20 an unofficial holiday, celebrating Rihanna turning 30, and TIDAL has put together a #HBDRihanna playlist

During the summer of 2005, Rihanna, a then-unknown singer, who hailed from Barbados made a major splash. Releasing the up-tempo song, “Pon de Replay,” she scored a strong hit. But, that span of time saw many female artists trying to take that lane.

Rihanna immediately proved she was something different, gaining a second hit, “If It’s Lovin’ That You Want.” Like her mentor, Jay-Z, RiRi wasted no time getting her second album out. Topping the charts, with “S.O.S.,” during the summer of 2006, she never looked back.

Later, Rihanna had “Umbrella,” “Unfaithful,” “Shut Up and Drive,” “Hate That I Love You,” with Ne-Yo, “Take A Bow,” “Disturbia,” “Rude Boy,” “Only Girl (In The World),” “What’s My Name,” with Drake, all the way up to “Work,” with Drake. Recently, Rihanna broke records for the most-streamed songs. All of these accomplishments were made before she turned 30, today, not to mention FENTY Beauty.
