No matter how much he ignores it, Lil Wayne appears to be unable to escape the following controversy over his Miami Heat comments. Primarily angered by Dwyane Wade, Lil Wayne targeted the entire Miami Heat organization. Veteran Miami rappers, Trick Daddy and Uncle Luke, turned the situation into a Lil Wayne vs. Miami situation.
Uncle Luke told Miami’s hip hop leaders, DJ Khaled and Rick Ross, they needed to address the situation with Lil Wayne. Over the past few years, DJ Khaled and Rick Ross have worked closely with Lil Wayne. Both have been instrumental in the growth of Lil Wayne and also his label-mate, Drake.
Meanwhile, regarding the Miami situation, another major rapper from the city has taken aim at Lil Wayne. While Rick Ross holds down the hip hop world for Miami, Pitbull is one of the biggest mainstream artists out. Pitbull has taken aim at Lil Wayne on his latest single, which is called “Welcome to Dade County.”
