Maino talks “King of Brooklyn” status and EP, Uncle Murda, Jay-Z, and more with DJ Whoo Kid [AUDIO]

Maino 4One rapper who will always hold a unique position in the game is Maino because he forced people to pay attention to New York. By 2008-2009, not many people were talking about New York’s hip hop scene, but Maino forced them. Maino dropped two hits in “Hi Hater” and “All The Above.”

During this period of time, Maino also went at Jay-Z without any fear. All of this gained Maino a lot of respect in the game and his unfiltered persona has kept him a respected member of the hip hop community. When Trinidad James said what he said about New York, it was Maino he had to deal with.

Currently, Maino is working on his King of Brooklyn EP, which is due to be released soon. With the project coming up, Maino stopped by Shade 45 and he talked to DJ Whoo Kid about what he has going on. Maino spoke on the new EP and his status as king of Brooklyn, along with Jay-Z, and much more.
