Gucci Mane – “Long Live Dolph”

Gucci Mane spent a lot of time with Young Dolph, earlier in Dolph’s career. In many ways, Gucci is a titan in the industry. He gave Dolph a lot of the game, when it came to keeping new music out, and developing his artists. A few years ago, the two were so close, many mistakenly said Dolph was actually a part of 1017 Brick Squad.

While Gucci Mane did have a stable of artists, who’d go onto shape the next decade of music, Young Dolph wasn’t one of them. Instead, the two were just good friends, and collaborators. Together, the two made great music, and even better memories. A person like Gucci has dealt with a lot of death in his life and Dolph was added to that list.

Since Young Dolph’s death, Gucci Mane has kept quiet. He broke this silence, this morning. With the release of So Icy Christmas, Gucci dedicated a song to Dolph. Gucci offered up “Long Live Dolph” in memory of his friend.
