New York City has its fair share of heroes ushering the city back to hip hop prominence. Just one year ago, however, the title was up for debate. When scoping for new kings of the city, Fred the Godson was a popular candidate. In his own right, Fred the Godson remains one of the hip hop kings. However, the popularity contest may go to a few others. In terms of popularity, the top artist out is Trinidad James. He is an overnight stars and established artists continue to remake his infectious “All Gold Everything.” Now, Fred the Godson is the latest rapper to jump on the breakout hit.
