Finally, Drake has delivered his new album, but he’s made the wait go by faster than expected. Usually, when an artist waits three years until album releases, they are fully absent. But, during his hiatus, Drake furthered his grip on the music world.
This is comparable to Lil Wayne, during his three year hiatus between the releases of Tha Carter II and Tha Carter III. While Lil Wayne had mixtape success, Drake topped it. Times changed, so Drake’s mixtape, ended up being certified platinum and the other went gold.
Drake is now back with his new album, Views, which was a win in the streaming war for Apple Music. While Drake calls Apple Music home, he has silently had tremendous success on Pandora, recently crossing 13 billion streams. His new album, Views is now available on Pandora, for free streaming.
