For well over a week, Meek Mill and Drake have dominated the hip hop headlines. Last week, Meek Mill went on Twitter and revealed Drake did not write his own rhymes. Not too long afterwards, Meek Mill apologized to Nicki Minaj for disrespecting Drake, her label-mate.
However, this did not stop Drake from firing back. This past weekend, he took aim at Meek Mill on “Charged Up.” A big moment in hip hop for the week, Drake also made sure to tie his business relationship with Apple Music, premiering the song on OVO Sound Radio.
Drake didn’t wait for Meek Mill to drop another record before getting into it with Meek Mill again on “Back To Back.” Yesterday, Meek Mill promised a “Back To Back” response and a rumor hit Twitter that he was dropping a song called “Twitter Fingers” at midnight. The song didn’t come, but DJ Envy said his sources say Meek Mill has a new diss coming when he, Charlamagne Tha God, and Angela Yee spoke on it.
