2020 was a nightmare as far as concerts go after mid-March for sure. They all either got canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Concerts slowly began back in the south though with drive-in shows and at nightclubs. This isn’t the case nationwide, though.
In California, restrictions are still tight as people still can’t go eat inside restaurants or even go to the movies. Many have wondered what will happen with concerts there this year as well, especially with Coachella.
Coachella was postponed twice in 2020 and it looks like it sadly won’t happen in 2021 either despite the fact that it’s all the way until April. According to TMZ, Riverside County Public Health Officer, Dr. Cameron Kaiser, signed an order which calls off April events in the area.
At this point, festivals and concerns in general in California should consider coming down south, such as to Georgia, Florida, or Texas. Masks and limited capacity would obviously be enforced all while still bringing back live converts with fans back.
