2 Chainz releases Pop Music single with Moneybagg Yo and Beatking
2 Chainz is preparing to release his new album, Dope Don’t Sell Itself. Now, 2 Chainz has just put out another lead single, in “Pop Music,” with Moneybagg Yo and Beatking. This comes a week after 2 Chainz released “Million Dollars Worth of Game,” with 42 Dugg. Dope Don’t Sell Itself will be 2 Chainz’s first album since November 2020, when he put out So Help Me God!
Interestingly, 2 Chainz’ last album used the title Kanye West intended for The Life of Pablo. 2 Chainz was an unlikely member of G.O.O.D. Music. In 2011, 2 Chainz dropped his Tity Boi moniker. Along with that, 2 Chainz left Disturbing Tha Peace. 2 Chainz insists there were no real issues, aside from him wanting control of his career.
In eleven years with Disturbing Tha Peace, 2 Chainz was virtually unknown. 2 Chainz, as Tity Boi, dropped “Duffle Bag Boy” with Dolla Boy, as Playaz Circle. While 2 Chainz had success as Playaz Circle, it came seven years after DTP blew up. By the time Playaz Circle dropped, DTP was fading from relevancy. 2 Chainz has gone solo and become a legend in and outside of Atlanta.
With Dope Don’t Sell Itself, 2 Chainz is on his seventh studio album. Technically, 2 Chainz is on his sixth album, as Collegrove was an intended collaboration album with Lil Wayne. Whatever the case, 2 Chainz is giving fans a taste of his new album with “Pop Music” as the new single.
