2 Chainz delivers video for Pop Music with Moneybagg Yo and Beatking
This morning, 2 Chainz announced his new album, Dope Don’t Sell Itself, will drop on February 4. The album comes a whole ten years after he released his debut album. Nearly everything has changed from when he dropped his first album. Technically a newcomer, 2 Chainz was a veteran in the game, in the 2011-2012 period. He said it all, on DJ Drama’s “My Moment,” that he made more than he ever made on DTP, this year (2011-2012).
2 Chainz shared stages and magazine covers with the artists of that time. But, unlike them, Chainz already had a hit single, already been all over BET, and done major tours. However, what made 2 Chainz a different kind of artist was his willingness to approach the game like a newcomer, despite being a veteran. All of this resulted in him having one of 2012’s most-successful albums, and one of the summer’s biggest singles, in “No Lie,” featuring Drake.
To start the weekend, 2 Chainz has some new music for the people. Going along with his album release, he has dropped a new single. Before he announced the release date, 2 Chainz dropped his latest single, “Pop Music.” The song features appearances from Moneybagg Yo and one of 2021’s biggest breakout artists, Beatking.
