SZA Teases New Clothing Line, ‘Ctrl Fishing Co’ In Response To Plastic Debris Ruining Oceans

The Top Dawg Entertainment artist, SZA, took to Instagram recently to tease her new clothing line, Ctrl Fishing Co. Ctrl Fishing Co, a line in partnership with Champion, prides itself on it’s sustainable mission. 100% of all profits from the line’s sales will be used to fight ocean litter.

“Who tryn save da ocean?” asks SZA from her Instagram. The question is an important one considering these three things:

1) By 2050, the amount of plastic in the world’ oceans could weigh more than the entire fish population.

2) Plastic debris in oceans is estimated to have caused 100 million marine animal deaths per year.

3) The Arctic’s oldest and thickest sea ice breaks up for first time on record.

These teaser shots below had the words “F*CK PLASTIC/ YA READY TO SAVE DA OCEANS or nah” written over them in her Instagram story. SZA herself also confirmed the 100% profit commitment through the social media platform by responding to a fan’s question about the percentage.
