Seven fun date ideas you haven’t done before

When was the last time you went on an unforgettable date? While it’s nice to treat you and your significant other at your favorite restaurant occasionally, it can get a little bit dull. So, what can you do on date night that’s easy to arrange and won’t cost the earth?

There are plenty of options for you to pick from – you have to find the right one for you! It’s time to dump forgettable times together, so have a look at some of these great ideas, so your next date night is fun and unforgettable for all the right reasons.

Watch the sunset

Take a walk on the beach, find some higher ground, sit on a dock at a bay – or find a quiet place somewhere for you both to soak up the sunset together. If you want, you could also take along some food and make this date a sunset picnic.

Go to the theater

Try this date-night favorite if you haven’t already – not only is it classier than a movie, but you also get the chance to soak up some culture and dress up for the occasion. You can have a look online at sites such as TicketSales to find what’s on and to buy tickets to your chosen show.

Volunteer

Spend a bit of time at your local food kitchen or shelter – or maybe even a community beautification project. You’ll be using your date to help others, which is a great way to spend time together and do something good.

Go to an amusement park

Have a go on the roller coasters, have your photo taken together in the picture booth and eat some cotton candy. You can both try your hand at some of the fun carnival games that will be there, too, and take in the beautiful view from the top of the Ferris wheel.

Enter a fun run together

Recruit your spouse as your running partner and make a date out of it. You can go for a jog, walk or even a bike ride together two or three times a week for half an hour. Then look around for a fun race to enter, put it on your calendar, and take part!

Go for a private tasting at a vineyard

Plenty of vineyards are more than happy to host couples who want to have a private tasting. Some may even offer pairing plates – which could make this an excellent option before or after dinner.

Create a scavenger hunt

A fun, cheap date idea is to take your significant other on a scavenger hunt. You could create clues that will take you back to an important place to you both, such as where you had your first date, where you stayed on your first trip away, or your first home together. Whether it’s for the whole day or just for a few hours, your partner will appreciate the effort you put into this.
