Close to a year ago, Da Deputy first appeared on Hip Hop Vibe, featured in the “On the Rise” section. At the time, Da Deputy was fresh off the release of his mixtape, In Due Time II. In the time since then, the rising Texas emcee has continued his march toward stardom. Da Deputy caught the attention of Phenomenal Radio, who selected him for their Indie Spotlight.
Da Deputy has continued making his rounds, linking with DJ Omega. Aside from DJ Scream, the official DJ for Maybach Music, Wale turns to DJ Omega, as his official DJ. Linking up with the popular DJ Omega opened doors for Da Deputy. Great music and DJ Omega’s name helped make his Johnny Dep mixtape one of 2012’s biggest independent mixtape releases.
Helping to put Texas back on the hip hop map, Da Deputy has a number of independent releases under his belt. Signed to the Louisiana-based label, Silent B Entertainment, Da Deputy has opened up for a few major artists. The future for Da Deputy is definitely bright, as he continues to connect with major artists in the game.
