Justin Bieber has been criticized by PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange for buying two exotic cats worth $35,000 total as opposed to getting cats from a local animal shelter. She added that Bieber is fueling the demand for hybrid cats that contribute to the “animal overpopulation crisis.” She even thinks that when it comes to helping animals, he’s at an “I don’t care” stance.
Bieber is now responding to Lange’s comments by saying that PETA needs to focus on real life problems such as poaching and animal brutality. He noted that they had no problem before when he got his dog Oscar and he wasn’t a rescue dog. He’s all for rescue animals but thinks that people’s preferences should be respected as well.
