Brian McKnight is without a doubt an R&B legend but now it looks like he’s having some issues with his son, Brian McKnight Jr. McKnight took to social media tonight to call out his father by saying he’s been abandoning him, his brother, sisters and the grandchildren as well.
McKnight Jr labeled this situation as “mind boggling” and insane. He added that McKnight Sr has no empathy for the type of life he introduced to he and his siblings and ending up resenting them for that life catching up to them. McKnight Jr said he’s been trying to fix things by being the bigger man and being positive but there’s a bigger issue at hand.
McKnight Jr concluded by saying there needs to be a discussion about black fathers and especially ones in the entertainment business. He feels that he and his siblings’ story will lead to healing of young men and women with abandonment issues. Check out the full Instagram post below.
