Botham Jean’s Neighbor, Joshua Brown, Shot And Killed In Dallas After Testifying Against Jean’s Killer, Amber Guyger

This week, white supremacist and former Dallas police officer, Amber Guyger, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the murder of unarmed black man, Botham Jean. Guyger shot and killed Jean in his apartment in 2018 after she made the excuse of thinking that she was in her own apartment. Jean was at his home in his chair and eating ice cream. Justice wasn’t fully served though as 10 years was a very low amount of years to be served compared to what she should’ve gotten. This decision was America’s corrupt and biased justice system in a nutshell.

Joshua Brown was a neighbor of Jean’s and testified against Guyger in the trial. Sadly, he was shot and killed Friday night in Dallas, according to the Dallas Morning News. Officers found him injured at 10:30 p.m. at the Atera apartments in Dallas’ Turtle Creek neighborhood.

Brown suffered multiple gun shot wounds to the back and thigh. He was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital. It was there that he passed away. Witnesses at the scene say that they heard several shots fired and a silver four-door sedan sped out of the parking lot.

The Dallas Police Department hasn’t revealed any suspects at the moment. Brown lived across the hall from Jean. He died at the very young age of 28.
