Ask Obama Live Friday at 5 pm: President Obama to speak with MTV

Undoubtedly, the United States has faced some of its biggest problems in the past 100 years over the past five. In September 2008, the economy flatlined, putting America in its deepest hole since The Great Depression. The year of 2008 happened to be an election year and the election was expected to be close.

Two senators, veteran John McCain of Arizona, and relative newcomer, Barack Obama of Illinois, were the candidates facing off. Barack Obama provided messages of hope and the promise of a better day, successfully painting McCain as more of the same. Under the guidance of Obama, the US economy has been shaky at best and not what many expected.

As a result, the United States is faced with yet another close election. Battling with Mitt Romney, the President has been forced to think outside of the box. On Friday, President Obama will continue his campaign, speaking with Sway Calloway for MTV. Giving the people a voice, the network has decided to allow the people to submit their questions.

While the economy has shown slow growth under the leadership of President Obama, it has not done enough to completely reverse the damage that has been done. Regardless, President Obama still commands much support with the hip hop community and with young people. With his decisions ultimately impacting the future of these two demographics, largely the same demographic, Hip Hop Vibe wants to know exactly what questions this demographic has for President Obama.
