Currently, New Edition and their Bell Biv DeVoe members are back in the spotlight. Last night was the first night of The New Edition Story on BET. The movie featured roles played by Monica Calhoun, Tank, Duane Martin, Faizon Love, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, and Bre-Z, among others.
These names, along with Luke James, all shared time trending, last night, while the program aired. Telling the backstory of New Edition, it also allowed fans to reflect on their hits. The one that got the most burn is “Candy Girl” and it is stuck in the heads of anyone saw it, last night.
Because of this and the New Edition legacy, it made sense to have them featured on the Wednesday Throwback. This is their first Wednesday Throwback feature since 2014. This time, it is a real N.E. throwback with “Candy Girl,” all the way back in 1983.
