It doesn’t even seem like 2011 was all that long ago, but that’s been six years, like first term Obama. Back then, Drake was still a young phenom and people were wondering if there was room for him, with Jay and Kanye. Long story short, there was.
Drake definitely carved his own place in the game, but he has run the game from 2010-2017. Throughout most of 2017, Drake maintained a low profile. However, Drake has announced he will soon be returning with new music.
Yesterday marked the fourteenth anniversary of Jay-Z’s “retirement” album, The Black Album, and G-Unit’s Beg For Mercy. Today, however, is the sixth anniversary of Take Care, Drake’s sophomore album. In honor of that, “Headlines” is this week’s Wednesday Throwback.
